Hello, parted a year from writing and posting of my pictures. Collection has not stopped but slowed. Sounds good for me.
Today, I am presenting Venom from Marvel that suppose to inject fear into the hearts of every spidey fan.
To create a feel of fear, I uses darkness to fuse into its black outfit and red lashing tongue.
Here is the VENOM fear..........
Here comes the mighty Thor by Marvel Select.
My first figure after 2 months. Time is running short for me and I hardly have time to check out the figures in town.
Just bounce back to check out and realize the Thor is in. Great features and size, it's a buy for me after months of no buys.
I am really cutting down on figures. With no pictures for you, I guess its pointless for me to say more. You can easily get the reviews from other sites.
However, i will try to get this done when I get the time to take photograph it and show it off in my own words. For now, get him if you miss the Thor from marvel.
It gives me the feel of a armour general from medieval times.
For now, enjoy your toy but spend wisely and save the money for the best. Save the rest for your days....to come..
Why do you collect those "junk"??? To some is simply plastics and they do not worth a cent after you buy them. But in this era where we are living, plastics mold into toys has given so much fantasies to all ages who have been influenced by the various cartoons and anime we watch along the way.
They are a piece of momento to remind you of the cartoon characters you like. Bringing back fond memories of the time, at the moment. For some, it is just that, but for others, it is just a part of collecting. A sense of loneliness of emptiness. You do not know how to spend your time, your money and trying out this collecting game should be able to encompass these emptiness. Most of us may not realise and avoid agreeing that there are some part of it in you.
That is some psychological side of the part of collecting.
In all, its no different from collecting practically other things like stamps, antiques etc. The spirit is similar.
So in collecting toys. It takes up your time, money and most of all space, when it starts to grow. How do you manage that.
What is going on in your mind when deciding to buy that piece of action figure??? Have you ever think about it. This part is indeed very interesting and it really takes time to face it upfront and learn from yourself. Its a growing process. i urge you take this opportunity to learn from it. You will slowly learn to take control and know what you want. See your desires, watch your emotions, feel your anxiety. A complex mix of thoughts grinding inside you, which most of us dare not face it, not knowing it is there and worst, do not feel it.
Search yourself when the next time you feel the urge to get that toy out there.
Rule of the game is to get what you like and not what you think you like.
Feel your heart and control that illusion. Not easy but you have this life time to practice and a life time of each is different measure since you never know when it will end. So start now.
There is no harm and do not fear to face your true love.
I am still learning to cope that I need to face the reality that I love toys and at times, I am also confuse over the reason I spend the time and efforts to own them. The guilt of overspending and neglect surfaces when you are not sure of yourself and it is a good sign to constantly check yourself.
Humans err and they need to be check again and again by himself through the words of others around him.
Daredevil - A lawyer by day, a devil by night. Lost his sight in a chemical spill accident but gained a power in super senses.
Oh this round for today is real toy I am talking about. This is a piece of action figure of Daredevil I picked up from Marvel Legends, a Toybiz produce. Nothing to be excited since its not a new release and most of toys I intro are just my recent collection.
Until a day when someone sends me a new toy to review, here shall remain a place where showcase my collections.
I also enjoy photographing my figures in portraits and also my way of expressing my pictures through taking them. My style spins around in picturing them close to real human portraits and the different angles of appreciating them and some ways of sighting them in a comic angle too. In my Daily Toyz Gallery, you will be able to see lots pf photographs of my toy celebrities' portraits and my expressions and interest in them.
So much for introducing my idea. Lets get on to the topic today. Short and simple. I always let my pictures do the talking.
The shoulders are this piece of Daredevil depicts closeness to the movie version rather than the comic strip. His superhero outfit is dark red with a double D logo on his left chest and some likeness to the actor.
A bit of a light shade of 5 O'clock shadow on his face shows ruggedness.
Articulations and flexibility are kind of on a low side. Shoulder joints are not ball joints but he looks better in this rather with 2 ball joints for shoulder and hips, which makes some slimmer figures like these looks weird.
He has a loose kneel problem even though I took him out fresh from the pack. Too much crime fighting or lack of calcium???!!!:p
Some restriction of movement for his legs to move back due to his buttocks blocking which makes him difficult to stand with his weak knees.
Bundle in is a diorama of the stained glass background when he spins around while fighting Bullseye in the church, seen in the movie.
Overall, a buy if you like the likeliness of this piece to the movie.
I do not rate for my review but just comment on my views. Thats my way of reviewing. Not commercialised but hope to bring you good read in a relax and feel good way.
Ok, for all those talking, see some pictures and a few more in my gallery.
That's all folks for today. See ya!.
I like this picture that I took which project Daredevil holding up his weapon while letting loose.A sheer silent threat. I did some adjustment to the colours to bloom up a striking colour that gives him the comic superhero feel.
Daredevil ran and I managed to click him in action. Real? Of course not, just some editions done to mimic the swiftness of his action.
See my gallery for more pictures.

Dempsey Hill where the former British Army barracks and Central Manpower Base are housed. Now its a series of warehouses of shops selling South-East Asian furniture, antiques, carpets and also the recent infiltration of cafes, pubs and restaurants.
To find exotic furnitures made of genuine quality of teak, Elm etc, here is a concentration camp for you to hunt, research and learn. As for buying, I advise you to take a walk and figure out the overall market feel before you put that $$$ down, unless you don't care about the price.
I recalled going back there in my school days for my NCC rifle range practice since they have converted some barracks for us to use after the military move out from there. Other than that I do not have much recollections of the area.
However, when you reached there, it is a place where you can relax and walked around with some company of mosquitoes bites to go along. I like the place. Nostalgic indeed. Thankfully, they did not do much overhaul except the restaurants and cafes. If not its just another Orchard road.
There are a couples of shops, big and small, selling mostly wooden wares and antiques in particular.
Generally, I will group them as follows since each have its focus and priorities.
Shops that sell antique furnitures from China, which are refurbished to their original design.
Shops that sell furnitures that are made from "old wood", which are hacked down from the big block of doors in China and cut into furnitures that are usually China based designs or are designed by themselves..
Shops that sell used Teak/ Elm wood furnitures. Refurbished and touch up for sale.
There are of course some antique shops selling religious images and wares.
Basically, you can have a good walk around the area and sit down at the cafes or pubs to discuss your finds. Be prepared to do a good bit of walking since you are hunting high and low for your favorite piece of furniture and may be warm if the sun is working hard.
Some shops even do customization and fabrication if you give them the designs and requirements, but again ask the price. Wood tone can also be arranged to suit your taste for some shops offer such service.
GST and delivery are included in to the items by most shops, but since they are selling at that price, it does not cost them much to so called" No GST" or "Free delivery".
For those who like to frequent Jonker's Street at Malacce, this place shares similar feel too.
The roads will be dark when the sun is down since there are limited road lights and you may find yourself in the kampong days. Interesting to relive such days for a short distance.
Hope you enjoy the read and have a good trip there too.
Hi, I know I know, I have been missing out in action for months and have not been posting and update my blog. For today, its a bit of unusual fo me to start into a new subject for my play blog.
Though I am not blogging on toys today. I am looking into another new TOY!. As I say, toy in my aspect may not necessary be toys but anything which I or even you may fall deep interest in.
A toy gets you immerse into a depth of senseless indulgence of thinking and looking and hunting for it and having the kick out of finding your fave toy and the great sense of joy and fitting into your very purpose of fun.
So think out of the box, as my slogan " where you remember how to play", as in how to have fun in simplicity. Boleh?!!
Ok, what I am busying lately and forgetting my real toys is searching and looking into wooden furniture for my new place. Shock!!! Is this a toy??? Yes, you bet. Something I have learn and caught my attention for a long time til this time when I am ready to get a piece for my place.
Ok, if you are looking for wooden furniture, then you will have to read what I have learned and saw. I try to contribute based on my little knowledge. Hopefully can give you some clues before you stamped your $$ into your buy.
Natural furniture is what I meant as wooden furniture. And there are so many kinds and varied of furniture out there trying to catch your attention and trick you into believing they are rock solid natural. It doe not take a genius to feel, see and touch a piece furniture that is made of genuine solid wood. All you need is patience and focus! Never let the sales to sweet talk you.
Plywood made up of several layers of board stacked and glued together are NOT solid wood. They are strong but they do not stand the test of time. Ask you old parents and generations ahead, they will tell you what is solid. These material is cheap and used mainly for our build in cabinets or wardrobes. You can find lots of furniture uses these and they are laminated or veneer to look like real wood. They are may be fancy but do not last and not collectible. But if you are those who like to change furniture frequently, they are a good choice.
Chipboard are made of saw dusts and leftovers from wood manufacturer. They are compressed and glued with laminate to look good and cheap. Be careful, they are freak of water. So no H2o on them if you have them. Try not to buy furniture using them as material unless you intend to throw them soon.
The above material are commonly used for our modern furnitures but not all. You know where you can find these furnitures.
Now, we talk wood.
Over here I will mention Teak wood, Elm wood in particular since I am only interested in them for my selection and I bet you will appreciate them after what I have reviewed.
Teak wood known commonly as expensive and good material for furniture. They are well-received by our forefathers time and serve them through out their lifetime. Some even survive the test of time and become antiques. Termites are not interested in them and they are oil based wood. Smells good too.
They are mainly from Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar (Burma).
Choose Burnese teak from Burma if you can since they are usually chopped from trees which are more than 60 years of age and are dried in oven controlled environment, which offer a more quality teak. I am not an expert but that is what I learned from talking with many sellers. And verified by Burma locals.
The grains of the Burmese teak are beautiful and unique to each piece of log. They should be natural treated with lacquer to protect and enhance the grains. Even if you place your furniture in the open under sunshine, it can be brushed and clean to original colour to regain its beauty.
As for Indonesia teak, it does not go through the stringent selection compares to Burmese since they are chopped down in younger days. They are also not oven dried to controlled moisture.
As such, they are not as robust as Burmese teak and tends to give way after prolong sunshine. Indoor should be able to last longer. However, I cannot judge for this. All in all, its the price that sets them apart.
But how to tell them apart might need some skills. As for buyers like us, we will have to ask the seller (which sounds stupid to verify), check the grains if you know. Some vendors have proof for Burmese teak such as stated in invoices. But all these can be fake if you are not wise enough. So see and feel and even smell them yourself.
Another good material is Elm wood, which are commonly used in Chinese furniture. So they are also beautifully grained and tough to last.
Most furniture vanished the wood with wood colours to give variety of tones and feel for the furniture style. Over dose might cover up the true nature of them and a waste.
Overall, both materials are top quality for wooden furnitures and look great and nostalgic. If you are looking to buy natural and appreciate the beauty of wood furniture. Get yourself a piece and be prepared to pay a price higher than the modern plastic, buildup boards furniture. They lasts and you need not change them unless you are bored.
As for going green, it will be better to buy a piece of genuine piece of furniture build from good wood and do not throw them away rather than buying and throwing easily outdated furniture with low quality for usage. The latter contributes more rubbish to our earth.
Ok, so long for now. I will discuss more into my field trip for hunting in Demsey road on my next post. Hope these helps. good day, Cheers.....!
Just uploaded some of my pictures taken in the evening of Vengeance on his bike and Steel in action. Do link to my gallery to feel their awe.
Meanwhile, here are some first glimpse to spur you up for more.....!
Power of Steel.........!!!
Vengeance in style on his skeleton bike.
I have a hard time standing Vengeance in upright position, seems like his upper body is a bit heavy for his legs to support. As for steel, I like the look of terminator in him. Will pair them up for a battle of machine and steel, looks who is gonna win....
Its 2008 and to start the year rolling, I have a new bunch of friends to welcome the new year. Just to share some group shots I took for them in my studio.
The hunks from WWE.
Kane, Edge, Rey, Akeem and who is that psycho in the mask?!!!
Warrior and Triple H showing off their POWER pose!
EARTHQUAKE !!!
Iron man joins in the party with Rey. Who is in POWER?
Superheroes join in with the human power in total welcome to you out there. Jam in the POWER of 2008!!!
I have just started with WWE figures by Jakks Pacific. Never taken a look in them until a day when I bump into Ultimate Warrior. Only then that I realized they are magnificently well sculpted to likeliness.
For a start, they are just some of the chosen ones with some unable to make it to this group shots.
Enjoy and have fun collecting. But be picky on what you collect and do not lost yourself. Its so easy....

Hello folks, been away for quite a while but nevertheless, I shall continue to introduce new adventures to you.
This time, I captured She Hulk from Marvel legends (Hasbro) in action while she was performing her act of great escape from the bubble!!! What bubble??? You shall see............
She Hulk in captivity. Fierce and powerful. Ready to strike!
Oh No! She has broken her bonds and trying to smash through the bubble trap.
From my camera vantage point, I managed to captured an up-close and not very personal of
She Hulk in action. So effortlessly....
Oh she is out and in a victorious pose and thats all........???
Ah....e...eee... She has lifted the trap and look at that strength. She sure can lift that trap up
and oh she is throwing the BUBBLE towards us. Ran..........!!!!
Lets welcome Jennifer Walters who portray as She Hulk, in her upcoming film, She Hulk!!! Hahahaha.
Generally, She Hulk has sculpted for a good feature, both face and torso and her butt too. Joints and articulation are a bit stiff and that why she is new out from the bubble.
Good physic and nice gentle facial features. A sense of femininity in her, strong but not rough as I put it. A lean giant.
The downside will be her neck movement is obstructed by her hair sculpt and you cannot move that much.
Watch her in my gallery if you need her featured pictures.
Featuring this week is my new collection from the infamous Lord of the Rings, FellBeast.......A huge flying beast that transports the hideous Ringwraith around the skies of middle earth. Watch out!!!
This is one big bird that has a wing spawn of 32" and has a wing that resembles that of a bat. The ringwraith will be able to sit on the saddle in place on the back of the beast, but with the help of an elastic band to secure the figure on the saddle without dropping off from its aerial attack mode.
The prior pictures shows the appearance of the box. Impressive artwork to go with but big and light packaging to go with. Kind of overkill. The next picture shows you why they pack it up in such a big box. Ah huh!
The 3rd picture shows the parts of the beast not assembled in displayed after I took them out from the cardboard.
Basically, 5 parts to snap into a complete beast.
Using a ball joint for swivel action and snap on joint into the body for the wings.
Joint for the 2 parts of the wings that make it move forward.
Texture of the wing, elephant skin???!!!
Head of fellbeast, its upside down in photograph. Close and open action for the mouth.
Texture of the body that looks like snake skin.
Legs of fellbeast! Bird or is it a chicken!!!???
Ringwraith inside the box
Ringwraith upclose.
Spats of mud that looks so unnatural. Yucks on this! Design or mud???!!!
About fellbeast.
Overall, its a big winged beast that is good enough on its texture and impressive wings. I have not assemble it yet since I do not storage space good enough for it to fly around and for time being, it will stay this manner til I get a new place for them,
If you are a LOTR fans, trust the same quality that they make horses and most of the figures, this is a good to have collection too. Downside is that its needs airbourne, so kind of waste to see it settle trapped in a cabinet.
Buy it at a good reasonable price if you can find, if you find it overprice after seeing whats in the pack, then forget it. Save up for more horses.
